TERMS & CONDITIONS
CUSTOMER CARE
All rules and conditions of Gwithian Sands apply to our holiday home, some of which are included within these conditions of hire. Please abide by these during your stay.
All bookings must be made by a person 21 years of age or more at the date of completion of the booking form, bookings by single sex parties under the age of 30 years will not be accepted. If your holiday is 2 months or more from the date of booking, a deposit of £150 is required to confirm your booking.

Your DEPOSIT payment covers the reservation of the chalet for your exclusive use on your chosen dates and is NON REFUNDABLE. The balance of your holiday is payable 8 weeks prior to your arrival date and no reminder will be sent. If your booking is made less than 8 weeks before the start of your holiday, the full price of the holiday is payable at the time of booking as is the £100 security payment.
We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion. We also reserve the right to enter the accommodation for the purpose of maintenance or any special circumstance or in an emergency at any time necessary.
Bookings are not transferable and persons other than those stated on the booking form CANNOT occupy the chalet. Any alteration must be notified and agreed by us.
We are relieved of responsibility and liability should the accommodation not be available due to circumstances beyond our control, in which case all monies paid would be refunded in full.
The owner will not be responsible for death or personal injury suffered by the client or any invitees of the client save where such is directly attributable to any wilful or negligent Act on the part of the owner nor shall in any circumstances be responsible for any damage to the property or any consequential losses suffered by the client invitees arising out of any neglect Act or omissions on the part of the owner. The client must make his/her own insurance arrangements in respect of such matters.
Failure to take up occupancy of the chalet once a booking has been made and confirmed by us with a deposit received does not relieve the hirer from his/her liability for the full balance of monies due unless prior cancellation has been received by us by telephone and confirmed in writing four weeks prior to your holiday. We also reserve the right to re-let the property not claimed or occupied 24 hours from 3 PM on the scheduled date of arrival unless prior notice has been received.
You agree on behalf of yourself and your party to show consideration to other guests at all times. Excessive noise, offensive language or illegal behaviour will result in you and your party being asked to leave and no refund will be given. You are not permitted to play any music, radio or television at a noise level that is audible from outside the chalet between the hours of 10PM and 7AM.
The number in your party CANNOT exceed the occupancy stated for the chalet ( 4 persons). You agree to keep the chalet clean and tidy and leave it in a similar condition. We may require you to pay a security deposit of £100, this is to cover any breakages, damage or additional cleaning to the chalet and you are responsible for the cost of any damage or breakages and we reserve the right to recover from you the cost of any damage caused to our property by you or your party. All damage and/or breakages must be reported immediately. The security deposit will be returned to you one week after your departure from the site providing everything is left in a satisfactory condition. This is payable with your balance 8 weeks prior to your arrival.
The chalet is available from 3 PM on the arrival date and until 10.00 AM on the departure date. You must vacate the chalet no later than 10.00 AM in order for us to prepare it for the next guests. The key is located within a key box on the chalet.
The key code will be text to you on the day of arrival when the chalet has been cleaned and is ready for you to enter. (we aim to get you in well before 3 so have your phone at the ready for our text message).
Any shortcomings in the chalet must be notified immediately in order for us to remedy them. No claim will be considered for any shortcoming not notified within 48 hours of your stay.
We live locally and can get to the site within minutes if a problem arises.
All vehicles, their contents and your personal possessions are left at your own risk and we are not responsible for any loss or damage.
You are more than welcome to bring your dog/dogs on holiday, there is an additional charge of £30 per dog per week, maximum 3 dogs. All dogs must be disclosed on the booking form. All dogs must be kept on a lead and under strict control at all times whilst on the site's grounds. Dogs are NOT allowed on beds, furniture or furnishings in the chalet. DOGS MUST NOT BE LEFT ON THEIR OWN IN THE CHALET AND NO OTHER PETS ARE ALLOWED. DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE SITE FROM 20TH JULY TO 30TH AUGUST 2024.
Due to new legislation regarding smoking you are not permitted to smoke in the chalet.
Mattresses, quilts, pillows and mattress protectors are supplied. Bed linen, bathroom towels, hand towels and beach towels are not supplied. We can provide Bed Linen, bathroom towels and a hand towel but this will be an additional cost of £40.
ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING IS NOT PERMITTED IN OUR CHALET BUT THE NEAREST ELECTRIC CHARGING POINT IS LOCATED IN ASDA SUPERMARKET CAR PARK.
The client shall keep the property, its fixtures, fittings and furnishings in a clean and tidy condition. The chalet will be inspected at the end of your holiday and you may be charged for any loss or damage found. A cleaning charge may be made if additional cleaning is required. The fixtures, fittings in the property must not be rearranged and no pillow, cushions or any other furnishings shall be removed from the property.

On receipt of your deposit an acknowledgment will be sent indicating the amount of balance to pay and when it is due. No further reminder will be sent.

COVID 19 TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We cannot accept guests isolating in the chalets.
If a guest becomes unwell during their stay, we ask that they immediately return to their own main residence in line with Covid 19 guidance. We ask to be informed if anyone in the party becomes unwell or tests positive for Covid 19 as this will affect our sanitiser protocols. We cannot offer refunds if guests are unable to complete their stay, early departure does not warrant a rental refund.
If any guests are too unwell to travel, they will be liable for additional rental for any longer period of stay and costs of any subsequent cancellations incurred.
